Some friend of mine had to install Win2K pro over itself (don't ask me why, I don't know, to solve a problem I guess), everything went well, except for one thing (though not this problematic): the F8 boot menu has seen each one of its lines dupplicated (2 Safe Mode, 2.
Some friend of mine had to install Win2K pro over itself (don't ask me why, I don't know, to solve a problem I guess), everything went well, except for one thing (though not this problematic): the F8 boot menu has seen each one of its lines dupplicated (2 Safe Mode, 2..., 2...)...
Any idea about this ? How to set things right back ?

in a clean install of win2k, there are no lines for 'Safe Mode', 'Last known...', so I doubt they will be there in the boot.ini on my friend's pc, are you sure it is not somewhere else ?
