SuperMicro Board & Whistler
This is a discussion about SuperMicro Board & Whistler in the Windows Hardware category; I cant get Whistler to install On this board at all - doesnt boot from CD or from initial menu screen immediately goes blank and the system hangs. I have stripped the system down to nothing and still no joy.
I cant get Whistler to install On this board at all - doesnt boot from CD or from initial menu screen immediately goes blank and the system hangs. I have stripped the system down to nothing and still no joy. Changed the RAM etc...Anyone heard anything like it??
The system in question is as follows :
2X PIII450, SuperMicro P6DBE Bios Rev 3.1, 128Mb PC133 RAM, IBM 20Gig 7200 HD, IDE 50X CDROM. Generic TNT2 /M64 32Mb Graphics card. I have also tried with a 4Mb Matrox millenium card. All other Scsi cards and network cards have been removed for the purposes of this exercise. All My other machines have installed perfectly....
Any Help would be Incredibly well recieved..

This happened with my friend's Pentium 3 600 Mhz system....you know what, I have no clue, the only thing we did was format the whole drive and start again from stratch..I would not recommend doing this unless you were planning to keep Whistler installed for good...
