Hello -
I'm having trouble running SW:Galactic Battlegrounds under Win2k, SP4. When I start the game, I get through the intro, and get to the opening menu. When I try to play, I get "Please insert a game disk in the CD drive". I get this no matter which of the two discs is actually in the drive.
This is a pretty new system, Athlon XP 2800+, with a 2-drive, SATA RAID-0 setup. My only clue to what might be going on is that when the computer boots, it always says "Booting from CD...", which makes me wonder if SWGB is getting confused about what's a CD drive and what's not.
I have been having no end of trouble with Lucas Arts games so far, and my kids are getting upset with me for "wrecking" their WinME computer! (I thought I was setting up a pretty hot system...) I've tried LA support and "Ask Yoda" seems to be down.
Any ideas? Do I have to break down and get XP?
Thanks!
Fred
