Switching from UP to MP

Hi I seem to remember this being an issue a while back, and i don't remember if it was ever resolved. You CAN install another processor without reinstalling win2k. . . the instructions are here on the ms site: Hope this is helpful!.

right on, viper!

i used this little trick to save myself a "refresh" install of win2kpro. i was having the usb problems under win2kpro on the BP6 with MPS1.4, so I had to go back to 1.1.

i flashed the new qqbeta bios (which fixes the usb dealio), set MPS to 1.4, forced a reinstall of the same ACPI Multi drivers using the trick in device manager, and voila MPS1.4 with correct USB without a reinstall of Win2k.

Woohoo, thanks!
