Symantec Anti-Virus Corp Ed. 8 and WXPSP2

FYI Windows XP SP2 doesn't recognize Symantec Anti-Virus Corp. Ed. 8 as valid anti-virus software. Corp Ed. 9 is supposedly recognized. -Overworked-.

I read over at Cnet that both Symantec and McAfee are patching there current Corp Editions of their Anti-Virus to work with SP2 systems, oops I say

The current version of SAV is 9.x, and patching to 9.0.1400 does add compliance with the XP SP2 security center. Supposedly, a patch for the 8.x version(s) will be forthcoming at a later date.
