The 38CFM Delta fan which most commonly comes with the SK-6 has noise level of 47 dBA. I used an 80mm Thermaltake case fan, which is 2900RPM, and has 37CFM of airflow, but a noise level of only 30 dBA which is quieter than a whisper. Both these fans are going to be made louder than their specified volumes because of the air resistance.
