This is a discussion about the sims 2 not running in the Windows Games category; How can I figure out what my grapic card & adapter is? How do I find out what directx type I have? The sims worked on my computer but the sims 2 won't run & comes up with the message about compatible graphics adapters.

Well I've gor windows XP and still when I install the Sims 2 everything goes fine until I press play there is some rubbish that comes up about graphic adapters.
I've install it and reinstalled the Sim 2 but I allways get the same message! ;(

what do i do if sims 2 keeps on saying random stuff about the graphic adaptor needing to be DirectX 9.0c
Nobody wants to help why doesnt the sims website have info on this? i need to know a website to download this i have the same problem PLEASE HELP ME! AHHH
Okay I just don't get it what do I do whatn I go to load the Sims 2 and this stupid box that says unspecified error... then it closes it what do i do anyone can u help?
