The Sims/Livin large
This is a discussion about The Sims/Livin large in the Windows Games category; I have a Dell I8000 notebook with W2K, 512MB of memory with an ATI 32MB video card. I installed the Sims Livin Large and about a halh hour into the game it sets my display to either 800x600 or 640x480 and crashes the system.

Crtl-Alt-Del won't even bring up the taxk bar, I can't get to the start bar. I have to power down. Has anyone expereinced this problem?
Some other things, people who use this did they install on a FAT32 partition or an NTFS partition? Which is better?
Lastly, did they install as administrator or as a power user?
Thanks,
Michael

The filesystem shouldnt have anything to do with it at all. FAT32 or NTFS should work out fine.
Do you have the latest drivers and patches for your system?

OP
I definetly have the lastest patches and what I can tell from the Dell site I have the lastest video drivers. Do you have any other clues? It works fine on my desktop PC, but it has problems on my laptop. thanks.
