I hope so. I just replayed SS2 with the High Detail Textures that were released and it looked good.
Hopefully they will do a 3rd one as the second was one of the best games I have played in a long time.

Anyone know of any US-based online retailers where it's still for sale? I'd prefer not to go Ebay.

I have long lost my CD, and want to replay the game with that hi-res pack.

Textures? Perhaps you're referring to the Rebirth mod (that has better textures and much more detailed 3D models) which can be found at the actual Rebirth homepage (site design done by me, beleive it or not, though I cannot of course take credit for the portions of the SS2 GUI I used, just the manipulation of them to fit the layout... the old site layout just didn't do CyberBlutches work justice, so I redid it for him )

I read somewhere that the follow up would be for the Playstation 2 only...weird.

Ya, I'd read that too. It was in a PC Gamer, maybe a year ago or longer. I have no idea how valid it is.

If EA is responsible for developing a sequel, then I doubt they would do a good job for PC owners. Unless they enlisted the help of the original creators of System Shock 2. But EA is more concerned for console games than PC games, as are other companies too like Eidos, just look at the Deus Ex 2 demo.....yeesh!
