I just received an e-mail about a thread i have subscribed a year ago, and none for two that started yesterday etc.

Any ideas?

From vB support forum:

Quote:First an example. If I subscribe to this thread and you post a reply, I will receive an email. If I visit the site right away or very shortly and read your reply, and someone else posts a reply after that, I receive another email, etc.
If I don't visit the site until 3 days later, there might be 15 replies but I only receive that one email.
As the default email template for that message says, there might be other replies but you will not receive any more email until you visit. By the same token, if you visit, you then reset the switch and will again receive an email if there is a reply.

If the user is active on the board when a reply is made, they will receive an email. If there is another reply made and they are still active, they receive another email, and so on, because the system goes by their last active date, which in that case would be newer than the date of the reply. However unless they are active on the board when multiple replies are made, they should only receive one email until they visit again.
