Any idea's on how to get it running under both Windows 2000 and Windows XP?

First of all the launcher wants to install DirectX 5.2, and if I try to bluff it with compatibility layers for Win9x, it says it can't find my joystick to start the game.

Really want to play this old game, and I don't want to go through the hassle of installing Windows 98.

Any idea's would be welcome

No problem, man.
Use the QFixApp 1.5 Win98-layer, and UNCHECK the emulate joystick flag! Unfortunately, I didn´t manage to run it in D3D mode yet!

Is this the MS updates or something 3rd party?

Wheres the "emulate joystick" option?

Heh, got my brain in gear and worked it out....

So applied the fix, works fine, as long as 3d hardware isn't selected...

Which is a pain as without 3d hardware, looks really dated...

Any idea's on how to fix that too?
