Tonka Workshop under Windows 2000

My son got for his birthday the Tonka Workshop. On our PC we have Windows 2000 and the game does not work. At Hasbro I can not find a solution, can anyone help?.

Go here and download the appropriate application compatibility toolkit under "Essential Links" on the right side. Then use QFixApp to run the game. Try clicking on Win98 mode under the layers tab. If a joystick doesn't work, change the EmulateJoystick setting under the fixes tab.

Thank you for your help but I still get an error. The game can not run because it can not find my soundcard. The game requires a Windows 95/98 compatible soundcard.
 
Do you have any suggestions?

What sound card are you using? What vesion of DirectX do you have installed? What does DXDIAG report under the sound tab? What level of hardware acceleration are you running under the same tab?
