Trouble Playing Games Over Home Network...

I have a small network in my home and cannot host or join any 'network' games regardles of which machine hosts or is joining. Both machines are on Win 2K Pro. Both 'see' each other on the network, and respond to ping's and tracert's (using either the macine names or their IP's).

I have a small network in my home and cannot host or join any 'network' games regardles of which machine hosts or is joining. Both machines are on Win 2K Pro. Both 'see' each other on the network, and respond to ping's and tracert's (using either the macine names or their IP's). File transfers from one pc to the other are not a problem either. However, trying to play multiplayer games between the two machines (namely Diablo 2 or Age of The Empires 2) neither machine will see the other. I have been at this for 2 weeks now and still can't resolve it; any assistance is greatly appreciated!!!

I am not familiar with those 2 games, but do they require IPX/SPX to play over the network?

You might want to try adding that protocol and see if it works.
