Inside the Quake folder, delete this file. Opengl32.dll.
This file is GL ICD for 3dfx cards, since you got a GeForce2MX you don't need it.

OP
will it still look the same or close to it? by deleting that file i can play but it looks like it use to long time ago when i had no gl card way before my first monster card
You need "glq1114.exe" to play quake in OpenGL mode, it woks like a charm, for the res. matter you need to enter params. in the command line of the shortcut, i.e.:
c:\QUAKE\GLQUAKE -width 1600 -height 1200 -bpp 32
When installing GLQUAKE, uncheck the part reserved to 3DFX, you indeed don't need it !
If you want the file, mail me, I'll send it to you.
Good luck !
