twinhan dtv pci card and pinnacle & ulead software compatibiltiy
i have a twinhandtv pci tv card which is excellent and a better product than my old pctv pinnacle pci card however unlike the pinnacle one i am finding no software i use for editing like pinnacle studio or ulead factory recognises or picks up this tv card , why is this and does anyone know if i can work around this ...
i have a twinhandtv pci tv card which is excellent and a better product than my old pctv pinnacle pci card however unlike the pinnacle one i am finding no software i use for editing like pinnacle studio or ulead factory recognises or picks up this tv card , why is this and does anyone know if i can work around this issue ? i can only guess that the pinnacle tv card was analogue and the twinhan one is digital but i am a bit lost as to why this would make xp not pick it up for these other softwares ?

Digital TV cards are not widely supported yet - the only TV software that works with DVB so far is ShowShifter - a free trial version is available from the website.
You will also find that some movie editing software doesn't recognise MPEG files produced from a DVB card - this is because the MPEG stream used by DVB varies slightly in format from standard DVD MPEGs. Trawl through the ShowShifter forums and you'll find some suggestions on the best apps to use.
