unable to create dial-up connection (xp)
every time i go to set up a new internet connection, this is what goes down: 1) i start the wizard and begin setup by selecting the connect to the internet option. 2) i select set up my connection manually 3) then i get this BS: i have a modem, and it works just fine.

its been like this fresh out of the box. i installed a new hard drive, formatted it, installed windows, and bam, no internet. i did have a mobo driver error and had to reformat and reinstall windows, but i fixed that and i wouldnt think that would have anything to do with this.

I did check some of the required network services. The Remote Access Connection Manager was not started. I tried to start it but the message I get was that the Remote Access Connection Manager could not be started because it could not allocate buffer.
BTW, in my case I reinstalled Windows XP after my PC started to reset immediately after booting up Win XP. The PC would startup, the XP would be should but then afterwards it would just reset and cycle over and over until I just turn it off.
