unreal tournament frame rates,in direct 3d in win2k

This is a discussion about unreal tournament frame rates,in direct 3d in win2k in the Windows Games category; what sort of frame rates do u get in ut useing direct 3d,aka tnt2 etc,did you need any patchs? is your os full version or beta or rc1,2,3? i was going to buy an tnt2 ultra,and when i took the ut demo to the shop i was buying it from,we put it in and no go would only run in a window in software ,and direct 3d ran ho ...

what sort of frame rates do u get in ut useing direct 3d,aka tnt2 etc,did you need any patchs? is your os full version or beta or rc1,2,3? i was going to buy an tnt2 ultra,and when i took the ut demo to the shop i was buying it from,we put it in and no go would only run in a window in software ,and direct 3d ran horriably,have thought of getting a tnt for some time,cause of that ,the card in the machine was 16mb tnt,also the demo did not even load into the program menu ,had to find the exe instead.

I would imagine that the shop you took it to just had the built-in win2k drivers installed, which do not have direct3d acceleration. In order to get 3d acceleration with nvidia cards, you have to update the drivers. After that, it works great!
