I have been running 2 win me computers on a network with a 4 port router and have added a xp machine. I have set up networking on the xp machine and can ping all the computers but can not gain access to the xp machine even though i have changed the firewall and put the shared folder acess in.
I have been running 2 win me computers on a network with a 4 port router and have added a xp machine. I have set up networking on the xp machine and can ping all the computers but can not gain access to the xp machine even though i have changed the firewall and put the shared folder acess in....like i said i can ping the machine and it shows up in my router config but cant aceess it. I even took the network out and reistalled with the xp disk on one of the me machines and the ntwork came back up but I can still only access the other me machine....any Ideas

Doe your xp accounts have a password - xp doesn't allow network access with blank password accounts.
if you write in the ME box's explorer \\xp_pc_IP_adress\ whats the result?
