;( You will have to excuse me but when it comes to computers, I know nothing. I have been using my computer for two years now and decided to go 'broadband' last Feb. I am with BT broadband as previously I was with BT openworld. However, BT are still charging me for both. Should they be doing that. Do I still need bt openworld now that I'm on Broadband? Also does BT broadband have a home page. I've never seen one!! Think I need help. I'm on windows xp by the way.

Your best bet would be to make sure you areb't using any BT Openworld programs and then get onto BT explaining that you no longer use their BT Openworld service and could they terminate the contract.

However, if the previous contract had a minimum term (EG 12 months) you may have to continue paying until this contract term is fulfilled.

Either way I would contact BT asap if i were you.

Typical BT !!

They should know what you are using.
The line is theirs, the dialup is theirs, and now the broadband connection is theirs.

If you kick off enough you _should_ with a bit of luck get a refund, seeing as they supply you with everything.

OP
Thanks to those who replied. Been on to BT. They are giving me a refund on my next bill. £120 so not to be sniffed at. Now if I could just find a bt broadband home page............
