Upgrade from 512kb/s to 1024kb/s
This is a discussion about Upgrade from 512kb/s to 1024kb/s in the Slack Space category; Blueyonder have just introduced 1000kbps Cable Connection, I'm on a 512kbps connection now with them and paying £25pm and was just wondering if you guys think its worth paying another £120 a year (£10 more pm) to go double the speed or is it not worth it as i am not really downloading to many things at the moment.

Pu another way, that's 40% more for twice the bandwidth, so it may not be a bad deal. But if you are happy with what you've got now, why pay more for bandwidth you don't need?
Ok, calculate this, how often are you using 100% of 512 KB? and how many servers do you think can stream even that? Especially if you are in to heavy dodgy downloads most of them suck! You can get full BW only from sites like MS or ZDNet
