upgradeing xp directX
This is a discussion about upgradeing xp directX in the Everything New Technology category; i just got a new computer and was trying to play a game i had installed. i installed directX from that game and then tried to play it. for some reason it said direct 3d device driver does not accurately report direct memory usage.
i just got a new computer and was trying to play a game i had installed. i installed directX from that game and then tried to play it.for some reason it said "direct 3d device driver does not accurately report direct memory usage. (then basically update it)." so i try getting dsl hooked up on it with a second router through ethernet, which is what they said the computer needed to use. and for some reason it won't find a connection. i verify i am using a phone line that works, then try again. then since it again didnt work, i tried to use the usb connection which also wouldnt connect. basically my question is, is there a way that i can get the upgraded version of directX to my computer with out haveing internet connection? possibly by downloading a version onto a floppy and transfering it to the other computer?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
