URGENT HELP NEEDED xp problem
This is a discussion about URGENT HELP NEEDED xp problem in the Everything New Technology category; Alright, i was having issues with my video and sound card and i did some reading up and i was instructed to add /pcilock on my boot. ini file. I did that and now when i turn on my computer it brings up the screen where you choose Safe Mode, Safe Mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, etc.

i was having issues with my video and sound card and i did some reading up and i was instructed to add /pcilock on my boot.ini file.
I did that and now when i turn on my computer it brings up the screen where you choose Safe Mode, Safe Mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, etc. And Whenever i choose one of them, it just restarts the cpu and does the same thing.
PLEASE help me asap, i need this fixed.

Boot from XP CD and select Recovey Console.
When successfully logged in, at the command prompt type:
bootcfg /rebuild
These for service pack 2:
Add installation to boot list? (Yes/No/All):
Enter Load Identifier: Windows XP/b]
Enter Operating System Load Options: /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn
These for service pack 1 and gold:
Add installation to boot list? (Yes/No/All):
Enter Load Identifier: Windows XP
Enter Operating System Load Options: /fastdetect
When done, type exit, to reboot PC. Remove XP CD.
