USB-to-IDE for W2k?

This is a discussion about USB-to-IDE for W2k? in the Windows Hardware category; I have a DVD-drive in an IDE-USB case and want to connect it to a w2k machine but there only came win98 and DOS (?!?) drivers with it. Are there any generic IDE-to-USB drivers for w2k out there? TIA!.

Do I understand you right if I think that you have an IDE DVD-drive in a case that allows you to connect it to a USB port ?
Where can I find such a magic case ?
