A.R. DU Meter is a great prog - not sure that it's exactly what you're looking for, but have a look & see.

Actually, I am network Admin and my company wants to monitor the bandwidth of internet each user is using so that they know if some user is not just browsing and downloading from the web , but is actually doing some work!

That basically it!

Thanks

If you have access to the routers and such, you can get a lot of information using utilities like MRTG. Then, depending on the capabilities of the devices, you can get graphs of throughput, CPU usage, and any other information that can be obtained via SNMP. I don't think you can look at specific IP's, but it lets you look at the amount of traffic through an interface. For example, our ATM has a separate interface for every DSL user, and reports them individually, so we can monitor every user's activity. High-end switches can report the traffic through the individual ports to MRTG, so you may also be able to isolate your individual user's traffic that way.

While very powerful, there is a lot to learn here, so be prepared to spend a lot of time getting the results you want...

Then get them to buy MS ISA Server. You can not only see what is going on by everyuser etc. you can actually block certain things,
You can even give keywords to block if i remember correctly.

ISA server is policy based and is fully integrated with Active Directory, meaning you can control traffic from the domain container all the way down to the individual user and/or computer. I have used it a couple of times, and it's quite nice.
