Using remote desktop through a firewall

This is a discussion about Using remote desktop through a firewall in the Windows Software category; I'm trying to use remote desktop from a laptop to my home computer, but the home computer uses norton personal firewall 2002. . . if its disabled, the connection goes through, but when its on, it fails.

I'm trying to use remote desktop from a laptop to my home computer, but the home computer uses norton personal firewall 2002...if its disabled, the connection goes through, but when its on, it fails...So basically i need to know what program i need to give access to for it to go through.

I don' t know about norton personal firewall 2002, but I use zone alarm pro and I can set up any program either to get server or client connections to go through the firewall easily
I'm sure there is a way to set up norton firewall this way...

I know...the problem is I need to know what program I have to give access to.
