Via Tech Standard CPU to PCI bridge ALWAYS NO DRIVERS!

This is a discussion about Via Tech Standard CPU to PCI bridge ALWAYS NO DRIVERS! in the Windows Hardware category; I have an Epox EP-8KTA3. Seems no matter what Via 4in1 drivers I install I always get an problem with the Via Tech Standard CPU to PCI bridge. The error message is this in the device manager. The drivers for this device are not installed.

I have an Epox EP-8KTA3.
 
Seems no matter what Via 4in1 drivers I install I always get an problem with the Via Tech Standard CPU to PCI bridge.
 
The error message is this in the device manager.

I even install the drivers for it! But it still does it! Anyone know what is wrong and how to fix it?

Try installing or, if you already have, reinstalling Win2k SP2. I had this same problem after installing the 4-in-1's post-SP2. The VIA Tech CPU-to-AGP patch is in SP2.

I tried all of that, the only thing that works is not having SP2 on there. SP2 is too damn buggy anyway. It froze my computer several times. Then when I took it off it was back to seamless operation.
