Vice city help needed, Error installing....

Every time I use the install disc, I get the following error: Component Transfer Error Component: GTA: Vice City File Group: App Executables File: D:/data2. cab Error: Incorrect Function Any suggestions or help would be most appreciated.

Every time I use the install disc, I get the following error:

Any suggestions or help would be most appreciated.

It looks like it can't read the files from the cd. Check if the cd is scratched or dirty.

Unfortunately, the cd is not scratched. It's brand spankin new, that's why I dont understand, I took it back to wal-mart today and hadthem run it over that magnet thing they have, and it still does the same thing.

check if all the files are readable with a program like cdcheck or simply try to copy the whole contents of the cd to your hard drive.

I have tried that. Unfortunately when it gets to the 2cab file, it gives me the same error message. Sux for me eh?>
 
I think what I will do is take it to wal-mart and demand an exchange do to their incompetancy of selling decent merchandise. (sounds good eh? lol). But hey, Thank you for all of your suggestive help anyway. Much obliged to all.
