You hit 'Set' didn't you?
Also, if you set a dinky page file, I could see that being a problem if you don't have enough RAM.
I use a static size for my pagefile, and use whatever Win2k is suggesting, like 500-something megs or so.

OP
So, becarefull,
I've this problem because of intel ultra ata driver 2.60

I learn that in XP, drivers for ULTRA ATA are included...

If you install the intel 2.60 drivers, you have no error message, but it make Xp not to be able to SWAP....

Now, I know IT

Thank for your answer and for people who read this message

I dont know if this is relavent but I did have that problem some time ago. I now have 768 Mb of sdram and I disabled executive paging to see if I would have a performance gain and it was marginal so I then completely disabled my page file = none. This can only be done if you have a considerable amount of ram. Results were that I had a major performance gain and no ill results as of the last 2 weeks.
