Visioneer Not supporting 6100b in W2K?

This is a discussion about Visioneer Not supporting 6100b in W2K? in the Windows Hardware category; Visioneer has not written Windows 2000 drivers and doesn't plan to write drivers for many scanners. They state that W2K is not an upgrade path from Windows 98. Does anyone know of another driver that will allow a parallel port Visioneer 6100b scanner to work under W2K? Thanks.

Win2k might have drivers with it. Try to install it and see what happens. You may have to do it without PnP detection.

OP
The only drivers that come with W2K are the Umax 600p and 610p.

Neither of those will work. There has to be another manufacturers driver for Windows 2000 that will work with a Visioneer 6100b.

You could try the NT 4.0 drivers, but I'm not sure they will work.

-Edit-

According to the compatibility list, the NT drivers seem to work. See here and scroll down.
