jdulmage you are a tester? for M$? and you claim you know all. Isn't that how you start out in the industry? In my experience most QA people are jackasses that dont know what the hell they are talking about(otherwise they would be programmers). But I guess you could be the exception. Just my first impression of you loud mouth.

Here's what I think: the threads only get closed when things get out of hand or people really complain about someone being a real pain. Its a last resort to keep the peace, before things really get ugly.

Why close it when you could just let it die? If a thread is not being posted to anymore, it will just die since nobody cares about it. So, in future, if you believe a thread is dead and "needs" to be closed, just leave it be and don't mess with it. Hell, I forgot about this thread until you brought it back up again.
