Hi to all!!!

Sorry, if this is the wrong newsgroup. In this case please ignore this posting & don`t be angry about little Hannes...

Since a few days I`ve lost my DialUp Icon in Taskbar after I`ve connected to my ISP. That means, while I`m online I can`t see neither how much network traffic I had nor I`m able to hang-up. For this I have to unplug the telephone cord from the internal modem. Not very comfortable below my desk... The necessary checkbox ("display symbol in taskbar after connection") is selected but I do not see it in the Taskbar anymore after I`ve established a PPP connection.

Additionally when I go to "start", "settings" and "network" I can`t see new created network connection icons. Instead, whenever I start IE 5.5 without having an established connection to my ISP the IE DialUp window appears where I can see the new created ISP entries.

This problem I`ve solved because the service "networkconnection" was set to "manually start". After I`ve modified this to "automatically start" I`m able to see these "missing" icons under "start", "settings" and "network" again.

But my DialUp Icon in the Taskbar is still gone :-( Does anybody has a suggestion what else I have to change in my system to see this icon in the right part of the taskbar again?

Thanks in advance,

:-) Hannes
