W2k Stop Error and mem dump!!! Help!!
I just picked up a 3D Prophet SE really cheap and installed it on my W2k machine. It runs games great, but sometimes when using explorer, I get a 0x1E stop error saying KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED in nv4_disp.

It runs games great, but sometimes when using explorer, I get a 0x1E stop error saying "KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" in nv4_disp.dll. It is random and I can't find any pattern to when it will occur. I've used all of the current GF256 drivers I could find, and I have the new ALI AGP miniport driver installed. Yes it is a socket7 board with the Aladdin V chipset. This thing is driving me nuts! Help!

Sounds like it could be a buggy device driver or system service might be responsible for this error.
Hardware issues, such as memory conflicts and IRQ conflicts, can also generate this. If a driver is listed by name within the Stop message, disable or remove that driver. Disable or remove any drivers or services that were recently added and find the most recent file that is compatible with w2k for you display card.

Just have to live with it, this is win2k... Try newer drivers from http://reactorcritical.com or www.nvnews.net
