What is this message?

I am putting together a new PC with Soyo Dragon2 2. 0 MB and while the system is up and running, there is a motherboard monitor utility in a CD that came with the MB. While installing that utility, the install program terminates with the message C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.

While installing that utility, the install program terminates with the message "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT.The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS MS Windows Applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application". WTF is this message trying to tell? What needs to be done to install this MB Monitor program? I emailed SOYO but they have not responded. OS W2K Pro. CPU Athlon XP 3000+ with 1GB RAM. I know some of you are smarter than these manufacturers
