Whats the best way to uninstall SBLive in Win2K?

I'll be picking up a new sound card this weekend and I want to get rid of all the SBLive stuff. What's the best way to get rid of it, without doing a total reinstall of Win2K? Thanks,.

Go to device manager, right click on your sblive card, and select uninstall.

Read with Notepad oemX.inf files in Winnt\Inf folder. Remove the one that contains SB Live driver information.

Thanks, I'll try it. These things should clean it out pretty good?

You may also want to enter Safe Mode, go to the Add/Remove Hardware applet, select "Uninstall/Unplug a device" then "Uninstall a device", and on the next screen, tick the box that says "Show hidden devices".

You can now uninstall anything that relates to the SBLive - just in case the uninstall program missed anything!!
