I have Microsoft:registered: Wheel Mouse Optical.

Had it about a year, works great, inexpensive, too. I personally would stay away from wireless, as I personally don't care for them. I hear the new Microsoft 'Blue' line is very nice though.

I have the MS Explorer v3. Very nice and comfy, but wired. I too have read all sorts of bad things about wireless mice, but the Logitech MX700 seems to have been getting rave reviews all over the place.

It seems to be far superior to the MS wireless offerings.

The other MS option is their BlueTooth setup. It looks the dogs danglies, but a few people have had connection problems with it

I've got the best mouse. I'm not kidding, read the reviews for it.

Logitech MX 700.

125 Hz refresh, cordless and optical.
8 buttons.

125 Hz refresh.

They broke the refresh barrier with cordless and optical.

i have heard the MX700 is the best mouse out there right now. Use that and a RatPadz as a mousing surface and you have the best mouse ride of your life. I also heard that logitech is offering rebates on the mouse too so take a look around and see what you can't find, those that are looking for a new mouse.

Also the MS Bluetooth seems to stick around a 90 Hz refresh and eats batteries like a fat chick eating Ho-hos (as the reviewer said). I dont know who could make use of 8 buttons but hey if you can better for you.

I just know as long as i have a scroll wheel im good to go.

Logitech MX700

I replaced a Logitech Optical Wheel Mouse(Blue w/Blue Light).

I originally was looking for an MX500 not a MX700 but the Best Buy I went to didn't have any MX500 in stock at the time.
