WHAT IS THE WHISTLER APPLICATION COMPATIBILITY TOOLKIT?
This package is a compilation of files from the Whistler Beta 2 2462 CD, the Windows 2000 Application Compatibility Toolkit and the installed Whistler files from \Windows,\Windows\SYSTEM32, and \WINDOWS\APPPATCH.
This program is for both Windows 2000 and Windows Whistler. Why would you want to use this program on Windows Whistler? The Whistler Application Compatibility Toolkit consolidates all the tools you need to easily fix an application. Windows Whistler standalone does not have all of the tools in one place and is not very informative on how to fix your own programs.

I compiled this package because I was tired of Microsoft not up[censored] their Windows 2000 Application Compatibility Toolkit (The Windows 2000 Application Compatibility Toolkit is a program release by Microsoft that applies specific fixes to programs so that the programs can work under Windows 2000. These fixes basically translate commands that are different in Windows 2000 from Windows 9x,NT) and instead focusing their time on Windows Whistler. ALOT of people bought Windows 2000 expecting their programs to work. Many don't. Well with this program they do! I have the feeling that Microsoft will not update the Application Compatibility in Windows 2000 as often as they do in Windows Whistler because they of course want the $$$$. With the included files you will have the same level of Application Compatibility in Windows 2000 as you do in Windows Whistler!

I have the same problem....
I have tested to extract with the internal extract-command, WinRAR, WinACE all says the file i corrupted.
Clutch can upload it again please ?

Anyone had any luck getting sim theme park or nascar revolution to work? i tried this but it didnt get it to work
and even tried the demo of nascar 4 just to see if i could get it to work but still didnt.
but its not like its that bad but i wouldnt mind getting them to work.
seems like ea sports games dont like win2k really well cause i never could get either of these games working on win2k ever.
btw it says this in log file for sim theme park when i try thru compat. mode

If worst comes to worst i can always put win98SE on my old 8.4 gig maxtor HD i have since win2k pro is on my new maxotr 45 gig.

Don't choose the OS layers. Choose Windows 2000 and go through each fix one by one if youi have to.
Do you think it may work just curious?
and when you say by go thru each fix one by one you mean to only have one fix checked at a time and try it each time right?

yeah, although there's a slight chance that 2 may need to be checked for it to work. But usually you can get further into the game. So that you know that that checkbox does work but that you need to click another. There are more advanced way to figure out what the programs themselves need from the OS and such but I really haven't gotten that far into it.
Ok well if i can always dual boot with win98SE if it wont work still.
Easier way we know but just a pain in the butt way when you want to play just that one or two games lol

btw i did get my twisted metal 2 to work but that worked with MS compat. match update with the compat. mode when you right clicked on shortcut and put run in compat. mode then run in win95 ,98 , or win nt 4.0 layer

And one more thing that was from the nascar revolution game i was trying on btw.
One more thing i got a video card.
its a voodoo 3 2000 pci so its not like a dont have a D3D video card and nascar revolution works fine under win98SE with it

right before you start game you got to choose from direct x or open gl and i tried both on each fix.
But i jsut wanted to say in this white little box it says primary display driver and there are no others to choose but that one.

YGM Eddie. I have a web page somewhere in my favorites for all types of decryption but unfortunately it's ALOT of favorites (3,000+) so ummm it's gonna take me awhile to find it.
