Whistler Beta 1 and svchost.exe

I just did a clean install of Whistler Beta 1 and so far I thing its very good. I am curious as to why there are about 7 svchost. exe's running and all together they are comsuming well over 20mb of ram.

I was wondering the same thing.
I am happy, however that my SB platinum software all works well. Running Whistler Beta 1 personal and really dig the cd-r burning capabilities of the OS. Also love the fonts, whole desktop is much easier on my ol eyeballs

yeah there are a lot of svchosts in there. Im pretty sure its an abreviation of service host, so its probably the services interacting with the OS or something.

wow. i never knew about the cd burning part. wow. how well does it work? i dont have any blanks to try it on at the moment.. Reliable? what about CDRW support?
