Who to hibernate in XP?
This is a discussion about Who to hibernate in XP? in the Windows Software category; I installed Win XP (build 2600) and I'm just wondering who can I use hibernate? If I take shutdown there is only these choises: standby, restart and shutdown - NO hibernate (even I have enabled it in power options)

Go to those shoutdown options, and hold down shift, the Standby option will change to Hibernate.
Also, in the Power Options contol panel, you can either set the PC to do it after a certain time of inactivity under the Power Schemes tab, or assign it to the power or sleep button under the Advanced tab.

Yep, machine hibernates fine, better than in Win2k (win2k loses sound and any usb devices when it resumes from hibernate)
EDIT: that's in RC-1 BTW
