Hi guys, I'm a new member here. I got a problem with my soundcard. Just recently bought Soundblaster Audigy 2 Gamers Edition from my local Fry's 2 weeks ago. The problem started yesterday, 07/09/04, suddenly there's this wierd and creepy baby sound every 15 minutes.
Hi guys,
I'm a new member here. I got a problem with my soundcard. Just recently bought Soundblaster Audigy 2 Gamers Edition from my local Fry's 2 weeks ago. The problem started yesterday, 07/09/04, suddenly there's this wierd and creepy baby sound every 15 minutes. Has been going on and on and on. It's driving me crazy and mad. What should I do?
Is that even a problem with my soundcard or some new sound virus going on?
Please Help, I really appreciate this. :x

If you have onboard sound, be sure that it is disabled. If that is already the case or if you don't have onboard sound then, disable CTHELPER through msconfig (Run - msconfig - startup) then reboot. You will get the message that you shouldn't do this from the operating system. Ignore it. If the sound stops, you know you've found the problem. If it doesn't stop, you can re-enable CTHelper.
