Win 2000 clean install using upgrade disk

This is a discussion about Win 2000 clean install using upgrade disk in the Customization Tweaking category; Is it possible to do a full clean installation using the upgrade CD? I am not trying to cheat the system, but am about to buy the upgrade CD and it occured to me that if the OS screwed up and I needed to reinstall, I wouldn't want to have to wipe the disk, install NT4 and then upgrade to Win2K.

Provide the qualifying NT disk when setup prompts you to do so.
