Win 2K and Voodoo 3500

Hi, have been reading the forum a bit and you guys sound like you know what you're doing:P (I don't). I hope someone can help me, this has been driving me crazy. I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 2K, but along with several other problems, Windows setup told me that 3dfx Tools was incompatible.

Hi, have been reading the forum a bit and you guys sound like you know what you're doing:P (I don't). I hope someone can help me, this has been driving me crazy.

I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 2K, but along with several other problems, Windows setup told me that 3dfx Tools was incompatible... so I uninstalled it. I then proceeded with the 2K install, and got a blue screen. I stopped the install (it had already begun), and went back to the screen that said I had incompatibilities, and most of the problem was with the Voodoo card. I can't find updated drivers anywhere, and the links on this site don't work for it.

I am currently using the 3dfx Voodoo3 12c Driver, dated 7-23-1999.

I don't have any 3dfx Tools installed (do I need them for anything?).

I'm really stuck because Win 2K has begun installation so that now my system has both Win2K files as well as Win 98SE files... and various things are bugging out (my sound drivers for my Soundblaster Live! won't load for example).

Please can someone help me? I need:
1. source to download Voodoo 3500 drivers
2. any theories on why there's a conflict now with my soundblaster card.
3. some handholding on how to install the drivers, as I'm a computer novice.

Thanks much !

Go to 3dfx in the download's section. You'll need to get the 3dfx tools for Win2k there. They add gamma controls and any extra's the card uses--though the functions might not work that great if yur not used to them.
