win 2k pro not keeping installed printer drivers

This is a discussion about win 2k pro not keeping installed printer drivers in the Windows Hardware category; after i install printer drivers everything goes ok until reboot, then printer disappears Also all usb devices get redetected after every reboot and com ports get redetected after every reboot

What motherboard are you using? sounds like you have an older BIOS problem

also win me or 98 work fine on this machine
i thought i may have had a bad win2k cd so
i puchased another,(has sp1 updates on it) but does same thing
