Win TV Problem
This is a discussion about Win TV Problem in the Windows Hardware category; Hi All When I went to use my Win TV Card today there were no channels saved, so I rescanned for new channels, I can see it finding channels in the TV Window but when the scan finishes there is nothing listed! Any Ideas on whats wrong? I called Hauppage and there answer was Oh that hardware is supported, it will work.

try reinstalling drivers and application and get the latest drivers and application from hauppauge. My win-Tv pci works great.
OP
fixed it thanks.
That is strange I needed to revert to the Windows 2000 VFW Drivers and Application, the Windows XP drivers never worked ;(

You did try the October 25th WDM drivers from Hauppauge, and not Windows Update?
The newest Hauppauge ones are great IMHO (first WDM drivers to not lock up my system when starting wintv), and love being able to have TV filling the window rather than 800x600.
Did you try manually adding the channels based on numbers? I always add mine like this, and it always works too.

OP
yeah i tried the drivers from http://hauppage.com/xp/software/index.htm
http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/software/wdm/wdm317_19299.exe which is version 3.17 the application opens okay but will not store any channel data evan adding it manually
Now that I have it working I may try the new WDM Drivers again and if not at least i can roll back the drivers
