win xp and maya 4

hello i have maya 4. 0 and i tried to install it and it sais that it is only for windows nt 4. 0 or greater 1. does windows xp pro is greater then windows nt 4. 0 or windows 2000 pro 2. does maya 4. 0 works on xp please help me cause i dont know what to do shachaf rodberg.

try copying the installer to the hard drive and setting it to 98/Me compatible mode ! It worked for me with Avid software.
