Win2000 and MBR
This is a discussion about Win2000 and MBR in the Slack Space category; I need to get Win2000 to take over the MBR without reinstalling. Currently I have a boot loader, LILO, in my MBR but as I want to remove the hard drive that I've installed linux on I need to remove LILO from the MBR.

In theory it is simple I just need to execute the command "fdisk /mbr" but Win2000 comes without the fdisk program, at least it's hidden as I can't find it, so what do I do?

Boot into the recovery console. Either by installing it to your HD or booting off the CD. Then execute "fixmbr"
