WIN2000 server and WIN98 login?
This is a discussion about WIN2000 server and WIN98 login? in the Windows Networking category; Hi can anyone help. A friend set up my WIN2000 server a while back and I have now lost touch. I have a win2000 server running with a partioned drives. It does not seem to have netbeui running and yet win98 can login and see the drives.

It does not seem to have netbeui running and yet win98 can login and see the drives. When I check properties of the drives it says NTFS. Can anyone tell me how this can be done?

Netbeui is an old protocol, it is superceded by TCP/IP. You need TCPIP, Client for Microsoft Networks and possibly File and Print sharing enabled to view drives on the server.
