Just did an install of Flash 5, and everytime I try to run it I get this error:
flash.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created.
I've looked through the Macromedia support, and tried the recommendation of installing/running Flash 5 under safe mode. Unfortunately this didn't work
Any ideas, help, suggestions would be appreciated!

Dreamweaver 4, Freehand 9, Fireworks 4

No, this is an educational cd. I've installed the program on my 2nd computer (which has WinME) and it works fine.
u got all iwn 2k updates? i have not had ANY probs with ANY macromedia software (flash 4/5 dreamweaver 3/4, Ultradev 4, Director 8/freehand 9)
on either pro/server/adv server.

Yep, all updates. This is a relatively new OS clean install. (1 week)
Looks like I might have to do another clean install and install Flash first and see if that does the trick...

i had a cracked version of Flash 5 that didn't run in win2k too well.

If it was cracked, that's the first thing I would blame.

I uninstalled Flash 5, then installed the Flash 5 trial.
The trial loads a bit farther, I can see the navigation bar and the splash screen start loading, but then it closes.
Does this narrow down the problem at all?
