Win2k - ICQ & Netscape Problem

This is a discussion about Win2k - ICQ & Netscape Problem in the Windows Software category; I recently installed Win2000 for a friend, which went fine. . . but I am having problems with both the latest build of ICQ99b (v3. 19 Build 2569) and Netscape v4. 72. Both programs run fine on my computer (running Win2k) but on his they both generate an error.

I recently installed Win2000 for a friend, which went fine... but I am having problems with both the latest build of ICQ99b (v3.19 Build 2569) and Netscape v4.72. Both programs run fine on my computer (running Win2k) but on his they both generate an error. If anyone has any suggestions, or know where i can find out more information on these problems can you please tell me... thx

well i was hoping for a better solution since those two programs are the only things that are crashing... everything else is great.
Netscape crashes when either sending an email message (receiving is fine) or when closing the browser. ICQ crashes on opening.

Maybe you should try ICQ2000 instead... that's what I use

I actually did try icq2000a but it wouldn't let me install it because there were already enough alpha testers or something like that .

try re-freshinng the install or Defraging about 70% of it then cancel
