Win2k or XP for gaming?
This is a discussion about Win2k or XP for gaming? in the Everything New Technology category; I just bought another computer -used- 900mhz Duron, 256mb ram, 40gb HDD geforce 2 mx400 64mb. Anyway, which would be a better OS for this machine. Anyone experimented with both XP and 2k for gaming? The system requirements for XP seem to be twice that of 2k.

I'd go with XP. It seems to handle DirectDraw and OpenGL much better then 2k.
XP. I ran both for about the same length of time (a year or so) and XP is definitely the better bet. The thing that clinches it for me is the fact that more older stuff (at least from my personal collection) works out of the box.
XP. For better compatibility.
