Win2K Pro and Network Printers

This is a discussion about Win2K Pro and Network Printers in the Windows Networking category; I have a HP4500 using a DLINK printer server. If I try to connect to it from Win2K Pro it asks for a *. inf (unknown) I point it to the inf file that comes with the driver on HPs site but it errors saying driver is not for this device or can not be accessed.

I'm also having loads of problems with network printers under win2k. Both machines running win2kpro. HP Deskjet 690C on one machine. Try to print via other machine and it does nothing.

Also make sure the print server has the drivers for all the OS that connect to it installed.
